To ensure that you always have access to the latest features and enhancements of the FishPod® software, we highly recommend setting your Android or IOS devices to auto-update our app, as we are constantly working on improving its functionality and user experience:
ANDROID:
To set your Android device to automatically update apps, follow these steps:
- **Open the Google Play Store app**: Locate the Play Store icon on your device and tap to open it.
- **Access the Settings**: Tap on the profile icon at the top right corner of the screen. This will open a menu.
- **Go to Settings**: In the menu, find and select "Settings
- **Find the Auto-update Apps option**: Under the "General" section, you will see an option labeled "Auto-update apps". Tap on it.
- **Choose your Auto-update preference**: You will have a few options to choose from:
- **Over any network**: This will allow apps to update over both Wi-Fi and mobile data. Be cautious with this option if you have a limited data plan.
- **Over Wi-Fi only**: This is a more commonly used option, as it only updates apps when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, saving your mobile data.
- **Don't auto-update apps**: Select this if you prefer to manually update your apps.
- **Confirm your selection**: After choosing your preferred option, tap on it to set it. The Play Store will now auto-update your apps according to your selection.
APPLE IOS
To enable automatic updates for apps on an Apple iOS device, follow these steps:
- **Open Settings**: Locate and tap the "Settings" icon on your home screen.
- **Scroll to App Store Settings**: Navigate through the settings menu until you find the "App Store" option. Tap on it to open the App Store settings.
- **Toggle on Automatic Downloads for Apps**: In the App Store settings, look for the "Automatic Downloads" section. Here, you will see a toggle next to "Apps". Slide this toggle to the on position (it will turn green when enabled). This action will enable apps to update automatically when new versions are released.
- **Enable Updates Over Mobile Data (Optional)**: If you want to allow updates to occur over mobile data as well as Wi-Fi, you can also toggle on the option for "Automatic Downloads" under mobile data settings. Keep in mind that using mobile data for updates might lead to additional charges depending on your data plan.
