If your depth finder is showing three dashes (---) all the time:
- Transom Mount & Thru-Hull: Make sure there is at least 3 feet between the transducer and the water body's bottom before contacting support. When you contact support, make sure you provide support with the model number and date code of your display and transducer.
- Glue-In: First, remove the transducer from inside the hull. Click Here to remove the transducer from the hull. Hang the transducer directly in the water over the side of the boat. If your depth finder functions properly while hanging the transducer directly in the water over the side of the boat, then you need to focus on your in-hull installation. The best way to go about this is to review the support article.
If the depth finder randomly shows three dashes (---):
- Transom Mount: First, make sure there are no lifting strakes, thru-hulls, or protrusions in the hull in front of the transducer. Review the installation video again. Then, review this support article for adjustment procedures.
- Thru-Hull: Chances are there is a thru-hull, strake, or protrusion in the hull in front of the transducer that is creating aeration (dirty water). There is not much that can be done once the transducer is mounted. Review this support article.
- Glue-In: Chances are there is a thru-hull, strake, or protrusion in the hull in front of the transducer that is creating aeration (dirty water). Remove the transducer from inside the hull and test other locations.
